Yes, plastics can also be recycled many times. Apart from recycling to make plastic bags, recycled plastics can also be made into clothes hangers, buckets and various other hard plastics.
Past research also indicates that a large proportion – possibly as high as 75 percent – of householders reuse plastic shopping bags for purposes such as bin liners and general carry bags (EPHC 2002).
